8 November 2007Online estate agency House Revolution is on the verge of securing investment worth half a million pounds following its success in this year's Running the Gauntlet competition.
The Norwich-based business is hoping to receive the backing of a group of 'angel' investors who have been impressed with the plan drawn up by Chris Sargisson, a founding director of online insurance brand Its4me.
Detailed discussions are ongoing with the investors but House Revolution is looking to secure backing from London Business Angels, who were alerted to Mr Sargisson's venture after he entered Running the Gauntlet, organised by the East of England Development Agency.
Mr Sargisson said: “Nicholas Boole, a spokesman for Running the Gauntlet, said: “We were impressed by the team put forward by House Revolution.
“It's a scalable business with an active customer base, and it has done well to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Running the Gauntlet programme.”
